This article will show you how easy it is to set up your domains with EWS, it will cover the two main scenarios which are how to buy a new domain on the EWS Backoffice, and how to add a domain you have already purchased on an external site.

Buying a Domain on EWS

In order to purchase a domain on EWS, you need to click on Domain Manager on the left menu bar and then click on Add Domain at the top right, enter the domain you want to buy, i.e. www.mydomain.com, if the domain is available it will show you the price, you can process the payment with the same card you have on file for your EWS membership. Once the domain i ready you will be able to assign it to your sites. The system will recommend subdomains for any of the other sites you may have too.

Third Party Domains Setup

If you already purchased a domain from a website like Godaddy, Namecheap, etc., you need to click on Add Domain at the top right, it will tell you the domain was registered somewhere else, which will be correct for this case, you add the domain and click on the right under Status, it will tell you to change the nameservers of your domain on the site you bought it as seen below:

Here are links to articles that explain how to make the change on the most common domain providers:

Namecheap: https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/767/10/how-to-change-dns-for-a-domain/

If you bought your domain from a different site you check their knowledgebase for instructions, or contact EWS support to request assistance.
