Every device connected to the internet can be identified using a unique IP address. Nameservers are part of a large database called the Domain Name System (DNS), which acts as a directory for devices and the IP addresses attached to them.

What nameservers do is use this information to translate domain names into numerical IP addresses (the language our computers understand). This process works so quickly that it’s not noticeable. You simply type in a URL, the nameserver lets your browser know where that website is located, and the desired page loads.

Without this system, we’d have to type lengthy IP addresses (e.g. 192.168.0.0) into our browsers every time we wanted to open a website.

How to change your nameservers in your domain?

Fortunately, changing the nameservers for your domain is relatively straightforward. You should note that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect. So your website might not load immediately after you make the change.

We compiled different guides of the most common companies that offer domain registration so you can change the domain's nameservers on your own. Just follow the steps on your registrar's guide.

You can find our nameservers in your EWS back-office following these steps:

  • Log in to your back office here

  • On the left side panel, open the Marketing System drop-down menu.

  • Click Domain Manager from the list.

  • You will see your different domains here. Click on the grey space to expand the menu.

  • You'll see our nameservers on the right-side panel.

If you bought your domain from a different company NOT listed above and need help, you can chat with our support team here or send an email here.
